Slow and Steady Wins the Race
Long ago there lived a hare in a forest. A tortoise also
lived nearby. The hare always teased the tortoise for his slow speed. The hare
was always proud of his speed. One day he challenged the tortoise to defeat him
in a race. The tortoise accepted the challenge. They went to a fox and wanted
him to act as a judge. The next day the hare and the tortoise reached the
venue. They got ready. When the fox waved the flag, they started running. The
hare runs swiftly. But the tortoise runs very slowly. The hare decided to take
some rest. Covering much time, he took a rest. When he woke up, he saw that the
tortoise reached the goal. Thus, it was proved that slow and steady wins the
race.

Story On a Hare and A Tortoise
Once there lived a hare in a forest. A tortoise lived near
the hare. One day they met with each other. The hare said to the tortoise that
you have many legs like I but you can not run fast as I can. The tortoise
became angry. He answered ”you can run quite fast, no doubt. But I think, you
can talk even faster than you can run.”
The hare neglected the tortoise for his comment. So, laughing he went away and took a rest. But at the time of taking rest, he slept in a deep sleep. But awaking from sleep, he saw it was too late. Then he started to run again but he saw the tortoise reach the place. The hare understood and became ashamed.
