In a certain village, there lived two close friends who were very fond of traveling. So, one day they went to a forest to see natural beauty. They were walking along the path of the forest and were so spellbound by the excitement of the forest that they even did not notice. After sometimes they had lost their way. They knew it very well that the forest was the abode by various wild animals. So, they promised one another that they would never leave each other in times of danger.

One friend knew how to climb on a tree but the other did not. Anyway, they were walking through the jungle and searching the way. All of a sudden, they saw a bear coming towards them. So, they both got frightened. One friend said, “Dear friend, I will climb up a tree. As you don’t know how to climb, you had better run away. But the friend knew that a bear doesn’t touch a dead body. So, finding no other way, he utilized the idea and fell flat on the ground like a dead person. When he guessed that the bear was just beside him, he stopped breathing.

The bear smelt the body of the lying friend and thought him to be a dead body. So, it did not touch him and went away gently. The friend on the tree saw everything. When the bear went away, he got down from the tree. He went to his friend and asked him eagerly. “Dear friend, what did the bear whisper into your ear?” In reply, the friend said, “It advised me not to trust a friend who leaves his friend at the time of danger.” At this, the false friend felt embarrassed and left the place. So, we must be very careful in choosing friends.

Story of Two Friends


One day two friends were walking through the forest. They were speaking with each other. As a matter of fact, they were close friends. One point, they promised, they will help with each in their danger. All of a sudden a bear was coming towards them. Seeing the bear, they become very afraid. One of them climbed up along the tree at once.

Another friend did not know how to do now. Because he didn’t know how way climbs up to agree. At that moment, he hit upon a plan. He lay down on the ground just like a dead man. By this time, the bear comes to near him and examined his nose, hear, eyes and his very carefully, etc. But at last, the bear could understand that this man is a dead man.

The bear went away because the bear does not eat a dead body. When they went away, the first friend got down from the tree and asked his friend “what did the bear say to you?” In the reply, the second friend said, the bear said to me that the friend who ran away to fall in danger his friends. He is not your real friend.

Moral: A friend in need is a friend indeed.

The friend replied. “Yes, the bear told me not to trust a friend who left me in danger to seek his own safety.”
